Fifth-year undergraduate Women's and Gender Studies student at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have a strong passion for human rights development and aim to work in either legal, public, or social policy to give voices to underrepresented groups, such as the LGBTQ2S and BIPOC communities. Commencing September 2023, I will be a student at York University where I will gain a Master's degree in Feminist Studies. In my spare time, I enjoy writing; working on design-based projects, such as interior decorating; and when possible, travelling. Ideally, I'm looking for positions that relate to my long-term aspirations! (She/Her).

Digital Content Creation - September
We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Campus Thrift was born at the intersection of style, sustainability and affordability. It provides an affordable shopping experience for college and university students through buying & selling trendy secondhand clothing for young adults that promotes up-cycling and sustainable lifestyles through clothing and accessories. We are currently prelaunch and in need of assistance in social media management, content creation and digital marketing. Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our organization, including video, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools. If you like the sound of our culture and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.

Undergraduate Thesis
August 2022 - April 2023
My Honours Thesis, entitled “Exploring Republican Views on Transgender Women in Women’s Public Restrooms in North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Tennessee,” dispels the widespread misconception, enforced in Republican political ideology of the present day, that transgender women are sexual misfits who seek access to women’s public restrooms to engage in sexual predatory behaviour towards non-trans women. This research demonstrates that enacting bathroom bills do not prevent sexual violence from occurring in women’s public restrooms, nor do they make sexual violence any less severe, because criminal behaviour is the result of individual deviance and is not based on a gender identity or essential ontologies. My writing seeks to engage in social transformation, making space for transgender women to exist within Republican-led states, and to revamp the ways they are thought to have existed in the past.
