Human Resources Project

Details We are looking to work with students to help identify and develop a complete human resource management plan for us to achieve our business goals. We are open to feedback about areas of we should focus on and would like our assigned person or team to be able to perform a comprehensive analysis of our business. We will share a few high priority goals and desired benefits below to help guide you: Identifying areas that need improvement. 1) Overall practices of HR. 2) Recruitment and selection (review current hiring practices and offer suggestions for improvement such as, advertising, job descriptions, testing) 3) Performance appraisal 4) Compensation and benefits (Are we offering market rate?) 5) Training 6) Worker engagement 7) Evaluating employees’ roles and job functions to ensure success, job satisfaction, and optimum performance. Students should be prepared to: Develop a standardized HR plan that achieves our goals. Research our existing HR practices to determine their effectiveness and opportunities for improvement. Research the HR practices of competitors. Research what HR components are most impactful and less impactful for employees. Ensure our HR process to uphold state and federal laws By helping Silver Linings establish these goals you will be positioning us more successfully for growth opportunities and enable us to function more professionally. Also, as the restrictions of COVID-19 are easing, we are beginning to grow and expand our reach. Especially as Medical Professionals and clients begin to seek services for mental health counseling.

Development of Employee Policy and Procedure Manual

We want to be known as an organization that values our people and has clear expectations as well as regulations for employees to follow. To assist us in this goal, we would like to collaborate with students to create an Employee Policy and Procedure Manual. This manual should be based on our objectives and include the items below as well as new ones Areas (policies) of particular interest to us include: New employee Expectations Security procedure Diversity Mentorship opportunities Sexual harassment Social Media Payroll Punctuality Dress Code Leave of Absence We have an old very outdated version that could be used as a base model, but we would also appreciate insights, recommendations on updating it or preferably a completely new one.
