These roles will support iCommute’s internal operations, coordinate the sales outreach team, develop targeted marketing content, and research potential grants or funding opportunities. By combining these three focus areas, learners will help streamline day-to-day tasks, boost brand initiatives, and identify new funding sources critical to iCommute’s growth.



Deliverables

Project 1: Project Management & Process Improvement

  • Objective: Improve internal workflows for iCommute’s sales or marketing teams (or both) without doing the actual sales calls/marketing themselves.
  • Key Tasks:
  • Observe or interview the sales/marketing interns.
  • Document current processes, bottlenecks, and tool usage (e.g., Trello, Notion).
  • Suggest improvements or build a basic project management workflow.
  • Deliverables:
  1. Workflow Map: A visual or written breakdown of the current state vs. recommended future state.
  2. PM Toolkit: Basic templates/checklists for daily stand-ups, weekly reporting, KPI tracking.
  3. Implementation Guide: Steps iCommute can follow to adopt these improvements.


 Project 2: Grant Research & Proposal

  • Objective: Identify and evaluate grant or funding opportunities relevant to iCommute’s sustainability and mobility solutions.
  • Key Tasks:
  • Research local, regional, or federal grants.
  • Compile eligibility criteria, deadlines, and required documentation.
  • Draft or outline a simple grant proposal template for iCommute.
  • Deliverables:
  1. Grant Database: A spreadsheet or report listing 10–15 relevant grants, with summaries of each program’s focus and deadlines.
  2. Grant Application Framework: A short outline or template that iCommute can adapt for actual submissions.
  3. Weekly/Final Summary: Insights on the most promising grants, potential next steps.
