Talο»Ώent Acquisition: Create other Riipen student projects and help manage the milestones and deliverables.
Local Marketing: Develop an implementation plan for engaging in the local market with our retail space.
Instagram Social Media: Complete a full customer, competitor, market, and environmental analysis; review existing marketing strategy; design an Instagram marketing strategy (product, place, price, and promotional materials).
Sales: Design a new or improved prospecting process for our sales team and a new or improved pricing or service structure.
Bookkeeping/Admin: Support the administrative and bookkeeping tasks related to owning and operating a retail store.
Financial Analysis: Review expenses and revenues to formulate profit margin and return on investment (ROI) calculations to produce a 12-month cash flow projection.
Operational Efficiency: Recommend process improvements or redesign processes; develop improvements to supply chain processes; introduce quality assurance into our internal processes.
Government Funding: Identify new funding and grant opportunities; write proposals.
Research: Other project research related to owning and operating a Boutique Clothing Store.
Our goal at the end of this experience is:
Talent Acquisition: For the student(s) to help us build and maintain a productive, diverse, and engaged team using student interns.
Local Marketing: For the student(s) to help us capture increased market share at our local retail store.
Instagram Social Media: For the student(s) to help us reach more customers and effectively promote our brand, mission, and story with promotional content and materials.
Sales: For the student(s) to help us roll out better prospecting that increases conversion rates and boosts our sales.
Bookkeeping/Admin: For the student(s) to learn how to run a business and help with our internal administrative demands.
Financial Analysis: For the student(s) to develop a 12-month cash flow projection, including expenses.
Operational Efficiency: For the student(s) to help us implement more efficient and effective processes that maximize employee performance/customer satisfaction.
Government Funding: For the student(s) to help us capture new revenue streams; for the student(s) to help us secure new funding.
Research: Industry research, competitor analysis, product pricing, supply chain issues, etc.
Students will work closely with the primary project manager, who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings, during which adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
We plan to communicate with our virtual intern using the following communication tools: scheduled video calls, phone calls, email, and Riipen messaging.

About the company
The Good Eye Thrift Shop is a brick-and-mortar retail store in Moncton, New Brunswick. They opened in 2021 as an eco-boutique, upcycling vintage clothing and accessories. The Good Eye features art and clothing created by local makers, along with a selection of well-curated, high-quality, second-hand clothing for all genders. They are also a size-inclusive business, with opportunities for appointments and private shopping. Customers can also request delivery within the local area and shipping if out of town.
